Got a Ubisoft Connect game key? Here’s how to activate it on Ubisoft Connect PC and install your game. The game or content will be linked to the Ubisoft account where you redeem the code.

How to activate a Ubisoft Connect key

  1. Launch the app: Open Ubisoft Connect PC and sign in with the Ubisoft account you want to use.
  2. Open activation: Click your profile icon at the top left and select Key/Code Activation. In the English interface, it’s called Key/Code Activation.
  3. Enter the code: Input your key into the product activation field and select Activate. If prompted, choose the correct product and platform.
  4. Install the game: The activated game will appear in your library. Download and install it. Any unlocked DLC will be available directly in the game.

Use the correct account: Activation ties the product to the logged-in Ubisoft account. Verify this before confirming.

What to check before activating

  • Platform: Ubisoft games may also be sold as Steam, Epic, or console versions. The platform relevant to your purchased offer is decisive.
  • Region: Beware of region restrictions on your key. Region-locked codes are not automatically redeemable worldwide.
  • Edition: Compare Standard, Deluxe, or other edition details to your purchase.
  • Additional content: DLCs usually require the corresponding base game. Check the offer description carefully.

Frequently asked questions

The key won’t activate – what now?

Check for typos, correct account, platform, and region. Avoid repeated failed attempts as Ubisoft may temporarily lock activations. If your purchased key is invalid or already used, contact the seller with your purchase proof and error message.

Why do I need to link an account after buying on Steam or Epic?

Some games require an additional Ubisoft account. Follow the instructions from the purchase platform. Ubisoft explains the redemption process for different platforms.

I can’t find the activated game – what should I do?

Confirm you’re logged into the correct account and whether you bought a full game or add-on. Try restarting the app. If problems persist, contact Ubisoft support.

Is Uplay the same as Ubisoft Connect?

Uplay was the previous name. Use Ubisoft Connect PC for current activations; older videos might show different interfaces.
